What is the meaning and perspective of the words “children” for you all?

In my opinion,children is pure like a white paper they needs their parents to take care them and colour their life with love.

When humans are young, their world often revolves around their parents. Parents are the primary source of safety and security, of love and understanding, of nurturance and support. Child abuse violates the trust that is at the heart of the child’s relationship with the world (Walker, 1994).

But nowsday we can see from the newspaper that had reported that the children is abuse by their parents.The reported cases at all over the world had exceeds over million in one year.the huge number of reported case that had been found but still have many cases is not reported and yet detected. Most of the abuse of children happen at home and some is happen outside their house. Home is the place that can give children safety but nowsday the words “home” is no longer safety for children.Most of the children undergoes abuse by their parents and the children is afraid to tell others about what had happen to them.Thus, they continue to keep silent.

There were many type of abuse , some example are:

• Emotional abuse
• Neglect
• Physical abuse
• Family violence
• Sexual abuse
• Organised sexual abuse

Every type of abuse that had done to the children will leave a great impact to them even when they grow up.Some serious case of abuse even can cause the children dead.while some will leave a scar on the physical appearance of the children.

A study by Palmer, Brown, Rae-Grant, & Loughin (2001) with 384 survivors of childhood abuse found that survivors of child abuse tended to be depressed, have low-self esteem, and to have problems with family functioning and also even had problem with communication,they feel scare to talk and be with many people.

Others than that, A recent study found that almost 76% of adults reporting child physical abuse and neglect have at least one psychiatric disorder in their lifetime and nearly 50% have three or more psychiatric disorders.

Adult that had abuse histories also present with physical problems more frequently than those who have not experienced abuse.Some adults who had undergoes abuse histories will lack of confident and always feel they are useless and this will conduct high percentage of probability to suicide.
